Designer: Order Options

Edited

Brief Overview

Order Options allow you to offer additional services or upgrades that apply to the entire order, rather than to a single product or image. These options appear during checkout and require the customer to opt in before the service is applied.

Overview & Objective

In this article, you’ll learn how to create Order Options inside Designer, understand the two available option types, and configure attributes for each choice. Order Options are ideal for services like rush processing, premium packaging, or order‑level retouching.

Setup / Configuration

1. Navigate to Order Options

  1. Go to Designer.

  2. Click Options → Order Options.

  1. Open an existing category or create a new one.

  2. Inside the category, click Add Order Option.

💡 TIP: Order Options must be created inside a category. If you don’t see the option to add one, make sure you’re inside a category first.

Types of Order Options

There are two Order Option types, each designed for different service structures.

1. Toggle Option

A simple Yes/No opt‑in.

  • Customer chooses whether they want the service.

  • Ideal for single‑service add‑ons.

  • Example: Rush Processing – Yes/No

2. Selection Option

A drop‑down list of multiple choices.

  • Customer must choose one option.

  • A decline option is automatically created — no need to add one manually.

  • Perfect for tiered services.

Example:
Packaging

  • Rush Order

  • Agree to order not being refundable

  • Acknowledgment of processing times

Each selection choice can have its own attributes.

Download Original Image for Fulfillment

Both Toggle and Selection Options include a setting for:

This is especially useful for Green Screen workflows.

How it works:

  • Customer orders a knocked‑out PNG.

  • The system sends the original JPG to the image service.

  • Retouching is completed on the original.

  • The final image is knocked out again for a cleaner, higher‑quality result.

Common Use Cases

Order Options are ideal for services that apply to the entire order, such as:

  • Rush processing

  • Premium packaging

  • Order‑level retouching

  • Special handling or delivery upgrades

  • Event‑specific add‑ons
