Workflow Lab Latest Release 2026.1.6
New Features
Bill-To information in DP2 Subject Info
Workflow Lab can now include the paying customer's (Bill-To) contact information in the DP2 Subject Info record it creates when processing orders — so labs no longer need to open receipts and copy that information by hand (e.g., to determine packaging in split-parent bulk order scenarios).
New "Add BillTo data to SubjectInfo" checkbox on Settings → DP2, in the SubjectInfo Processing section below the existing "Add ShipTo data to SubjectInfo" option. Off by default — existing labs see no change unless they enable it.
When enabled, each order's Subject Info record gains the Bill-To contact captured at checkout: billToName, billToAddress, billToAddress2, billToCity, billToState, billToZip, billToPhone, and billToEmail. Existing Ship-To and subject fields are unchanged.
For bulk orders combining purchases from multiple payers, each individual order carries its own payer's Bill-To details. Orders placed without payment contact information simply omit the fields.
Date Format setting for Designer template dates
A new lab-level Date Format setting controls how the Order Date and Order Date + Time Designer template fields are formatted on rendered products during fulfillment.
Found in the new Date Format section on Settings → Order Processing.
Options: MM/DD/YYYY (default, matches current behavior, time as h:mm A), DD/MM/YYYY (24-hour time), and YYYY-MM-DD (24-hour time).
Unlike other Order Processing settings, this preference is saved to the lab's account on the server, so it applies to server-side template rendering and to every machine signed into the account.
Labs that never touch the setting keep the current US format everywhere. Users without permission to edit account preferences see the control disabled.
Fulfillment Search Improvements
Smarter search on Print Services and Image Services
The Fulfillment search now behaves like the Workflow Studio Orders search:
A bare tag shows all orders. Picking a tag from the search dropdown (e.g. Online Order) or typing a tag with no value keeps the full order list visible until a value is entered — previously this emptied the Print Services list.
Commas work as separators. serviceorder:123, job:456 returns the same results as serviceorder:123 job:456; commas inside quoted phrases (e.g. name:"doe, jane") are preserved.
Plain text searches order IDs. Untagged text now filters: on Print Services it matches the online order # or service order # (including orders inside bulk groups); on Image Services it matches the service order # in addition to the fields it already searched. Matching is partial (e.g. 801 finds order 5028013), and non-matching text shows the empty state. The Print Services tab count reflects the filtered results.
Tagged ID searches (e.g. order:5028013) still require the complete ID, matching Studio behavior.
Image search matches the original upload filename
On Fulfillment → Image Services, the image: search tag previously only matched the system-generated stored image name (e.g. kea0m3nuiw.jpg), so searching by the name users actually know — the original upload filename (e.g. IMG_9274.JPG) — found nothing.
The image: tag (and bare searches) now match either the stored image name or the original upload filename — case-insensitive, with partial matching.
The Image Name column now shows the original upload filename in parentheses after the stored name when the two differ, e.g. kea0m3nuiw.jpg (IMG_9274.JPG).
The original filename follows the image through retouch/knockout replacement versions, so it still matches after the image has been replaced.
Bug Fixes
Order receipts no longer generate blank pages
Some order receipt PDFs downloaded by Workflow Lab (reported on bulk orders) contained a blank page before and/or after the receipt content. The receipt layout reserved extra empty space above and below the content, which could push a receipt just past the page boundary. The layout has been corrected:
A receipt that fits on one page now always downloads as exactly a one-page PDF.
Longer receipts still flow onto additional pages, with content on every page.
Applies to receipt PDFs for both single and bulk orders. Customer email receipts and auto-print behavior are unchanged.
