Workflow Compatibility with Apple Silicon Macs
If you're using Workflow on a Mac with an Apple Silicon processor, such as an M1, M2, M3, or newer chip, you can continue using Workflow as you do today. No action is needed at this time.
Why does Workflow currently work on Apple Silicon Macs?
Workflow was originally built for Intel-based Macs. Apple currently uses Rosetta, a built-in translation technology that allows Intel-based applications to run on Macs with Apple Silicon processors.
This means Workflow continues to function normally on supported Apple Silicon Macs today.
Is anything changing?
Apple has announced plans to eventually retire Rosetta support in a future version of macOS. Once that happens, Intel-based applications that rely on Rosetta will no longer run in the same way they do today.
However, this is not an immediate change. Apple has provided significant advance notice, and the change is currently expected to take effect with macOS 28 in 2028.
What is Captura doing?
Our team is aware of Apple's roadmap and is actively tracking these changes. We will have a compatible solution in place before Rosetta support ends, helping ensure you can continue using Workflow without disruption.
For now, you can keep using Workflow on your Mac as usual, there's nothing you need to change.
