Enhance Retouching Overview
What is Enhance Retouching?
Enhance retouching tool removes blemishes and acne while preserving the natural texture and integrity of the subject’s skin. The goal is to brighten and smooth the portrait without altering the subject’s authentic features.
Enhance Retouching also performs light flyaway‑hair cleanup, reducing minor stray hairs around the hairline and face without over‑smoothing or reshaping the hairstyle.
What stays on the face?
Enhance only removes what should not be on the face (acne, temporary blemishes).
Everything that should be there remains untouched, including:
Beauty marks
Freckles
Birthmarks
Moles
Scars
This ensures the final image looks polished but still true to the subject.

Cap & gown photos
Subjects with large hairstyles
Any portrait where additional headroom is needed
Q: Why does Enhanced Retouching include minor stray‑hair cleanup? Can it be turned off?
Minor stray‑hair cleanup is part of the Enhanced Retouching model and cannot be toggled off. It was added based on studio requests to gently clean flyaways around:
The top of the head
The hairline
Stray hairs on the face
It does not reshape hairstyles or make dramatic changes.
If a studio prefers no hair cleanup, use Standard Retouching instead.
