Auto-release dependent image option services
When you’re fulfilling orders in Workflow, it’s important that all parts of the order are released — not just the print or digital portions, but also any image services (like retouching or enhancements).
To help prevent delays, Workflow now automatically includes any unreleased image services when you release an order. No extra clicks, no manual steps, no stuck orders.
What changed?
Previously, if you forgot to release an image service (like Captura Intelligence or My Service) before releasing a print or digital order, your order could get stuck in limbo land waiting for the image to be serviced so that it could then be fulfilled. That could meant delayed or unfulfilled orders, confusion, and frustration for your studio, your lab, and your customers.
Now, Workflow detects those unreleased services and automatically releases them along with the rest of your order.
How it works
When you:
Select one or more orders from the Fulfillment tab, and
Choose Release Orders from the context menu
Workflow will:
Check if any Captura Intelligence or My Service image services are part of those orders and haven’t been released yet.
Automatically include them in the release.
Show you a clear summary of what’s being released — including those added image services (listed by name and quantity of orders).
You do not need to manually select the image services anymore — Workflow takes care of it for you.
What you’ll see
In the “Ready to Release” summary before you confirm, you’ll now see:
The print and digital items you selected
Any dependent image services that will be included automatically (e.g. “(2) Captura Intelligence” orders or “(3) My Service” orders)
What’s not changing
You can still release image services on their own if you want to do editing early and release prints later.
“Release All Orders” already includes image services, and still works the same.
This only applies to Captura Intelligence and My Service services. Lab-fulfilled image services will follow their usual process.
Common questions
What if I already released the service?
No problem — Workflow won’t duplicate anything. Already-released services won’t be touched.
What happens if I only release digital or print?
Any required services will still be automatically included — no matter which type of order you’re releasing.
